NCHS Child Care Achieves New Quality Rating from Bright & Early North Dakota

January 30, 2020, McVille, ND  The Nelson County Health System Child Care would like to announce that it has achieved a new quality rating from Bright and Early North Dakota. They are currently rated at a Step 2.

NCHS Child Care has worked with Bright & Early North Dakota to create a unique addition to its existing learning environment to ensure that children are provided with the best early learning experiences to help them succeed in school and life. “Nearly 90 percent of a child’s brain is developed by the time he or she reaches the age of five! That is why we are committed to them and the Bright and Early initiative.”

Bright & Early North Dakota promotes high-quality early learning for young children and provides a quality rating that guides families seeking the best program for their child. Programs that join Bright and Early go above and beyond the basic licensing standards for child care and must complete and intensive observation process.

Programs can achieve up to 4 stars as they commit to, improve and maintain quality. They do this by 1) taking extra steps in health & safety, 2) creating an environment that inspires learning through play, 3) developing activities that encourage language, creativity, science and other skills, 4) providing nurturing relationships and positive interactions with children.

NCHS Child Care is an added benefit for those employed at Nelson County Health System.  If you would like more information about employment at NCHS or about the NCHS Child Care Facility, go to www.nelsoncountyhealthsystem.org or call 701-322-4328.

Bright and Early North Dakota is an initiative of the Department of Human Services.
